The Petersen Clinics’ team includes Clinical Pharmacists specializing in HIV Medicine and are available to support your medication needs every step of the way.
The Pharmacists will be at all your HIV medical appointments to collaborate with your HIV Medical provider and ensure the best treatment options are offered to you. They evaluate your medications for drug and food interactions and allergies, provide patient education and counseling on medications involved with care.
Treatment Adherence Support
Petersen Clinics Pharmacists provide treatment adherence counseling and support during your appointments and between visits. The pharmacists also coordinate the Team-Rx (T-Rex) group. The group gathers multiple times per year and is a great place to learn about HIV treatment updates and to find peer support.
All patients are welcome to attend the T-Rx group. Just ask your pharmacist or clinical coordinator about how to sign up for updates about the group or email keeaz220@arizona.edu for more information.
