We’re happy you’re here! As you know, taking your medication as prescribed and following up with your Petersen HIV Clinics care team as recommended is vital to maintaining your long-term health.
If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or go directly to Banner University Medical Center’s Tucson Campus (1625 N. Campbell Ave., Tucson, AZ 85724). For questions or concerns between clinic visits, contact your clinical coordinator.
As always, please refer to our Education and Resources page for general information about living with HIV.
What to Expect: Follow Up Visits
Once you are an established patient, your appointments will follow a familiar pattern. Prior to each visit, you’ll complete lab tests ordered by your provider. During your office visits, you can expect to:
- Discuss your laboratory results
- Review your current medications and discuss side effects
- Ensure you are up to date on your immunizations
- Discuss your health and any problems you’ve been having
- Obtain future lab orders and schedule your next visit
- Get answers to all your questions and discuss your concerns
Get Involved
Patient involvement is very important to the Petersen HIV Clinics team. Your input helps us provide all our patients with the best care possible.
As a current patient, we’d like to invite you to join our Consumer Advisory Board. This group meets every few months to support program planning efforts and request feedback from our patients on how we can best support our patients and their families.
