Clinical Coordination

care coordination patient support

The Petersen Clinics takes a team approach to your care and Clinical Coordination staff are available to help you before, during and after your HIV medical visits.

Clinical Coordinators coordinate outpatient clinical services for patients enrolled in the HIV program and they are at every appointment. Your Clinical Coordinator will work to understand your medical and social support needs and help to ensure access to HIV care and treatment. They help facilitate referrals as needed and provide clear follow-up instructions for your medical visits, medication, and follow-up lab work.

Your Clinical Coordinator is an accessible point of contact for healthcare questions and facilitates patient/provider communication.

Treatment Adherence Support

Petersen Clinics Pharmacists provide treatment adherence counseling and support during your appointments and between visits. The pharmacists also coordinate the Team-Rx (T-Rex) group. The group gathers multiple times per year and is a great place to learn about HIV treatment updates and to find peer support.

All patients are welcome to attend the T-Rex group. Just ask your pharmacist or clinical coordinator about how to sign up for updates about the group or email keeaz220@arizona.edu for more information.
