Healthcare Provider Resources

Community Resources

The University of Arizona Petersen HIV Clinics serve southern Arizona with an expert team of infectious disease physicians and specialty pharmacists across two locations in north and south Tucson. We know not everyone living with HIV can make it to our clinics for care or wish to transfer their care to us. That’s why we offer healthcare provider resources to help you better care for your patients with HIV, beginning with our ID Consult Line.

ID Consult puts you in direct contact with one of our infectious disease specialists, who can answer your questions any time of day or night. Because our ultimate goal is to help people who have HIV, even if they’re not our patients. Medical providers can call 520-694-5868 and ask for the outpatient ID attending.

We also offer HIV training for healthcare providers and free resources that can help you care for your HIV-positive patients. Ultimately, we want every HIV-positive patient in Arizona to receive the best medical care possible, whether that’s from us or you.

Healthcare Provider Training

The University of Arizona Division of Infectious Diseases oversees operation of the Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center (PAETC) for Arizona, which provides healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide outstanding care to people with HIV and AIDS. PAETC offers continual education programming and clinical training as well as the latest news on HIV/AIDS-related research and discoveries.
